The new voices
Six additions landed with the trailer: Kenji Nojima as Hien, Aoi Koga as Lasgarl, Yuki Shin as Clown, Akihisa Wakayama as Rinne, Aya Endo as the Mask of Necromancy and Yui Horie as Master. That is a deep bench for a single-cour adaptation, and Endo voicing a mask rather than a person is the casting note worth remembering.
Who is building it
Tetsuaki Watanabe directs at 100Studio (also known as WOW Studio), with Daisuke Ohigashi on series composition, Hisashi Higashijima on character design and Arisa Okehazama scoring. Okehazama is the name to watch — her work leans percussive and it suits a story about cursed objects.
The premise
Peru is an apprentice mask maker who loses control under a cursed mask and kills his own master and comrades. The series follows him destroying every mask his master ever made. It is a guilt-driven revenge structure pointed inward rather than at a villain, which is a harder pitch than it sounds and the reason the direction matters more than the cast list.
Worth a slot?
October is crowded. SenpaiRanks currently tracks the show on prior-only signal — no votes yet, so its position on the fall board is a placeholder until episodes air and ratings come in. That is the honest read a single aggregate score cannot give you. Once it premieres, rating it is what moves it off the prior.
