Cookies
What cookies we set, what they do, and how to change your preferences.

Overview
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage entries) for two purposes: to deliver the service (strictly necessary cookies) and, with your consent, to understand how the service is used in aggregate (analytics cookies).
Strictly necessary
These cookies are set automatically and cannot be disabled because the service does not function without them. They include the session cookie that keeps you signed in, a CSRF protection token, the preference cookie that remembers your selected language, and a cookie that records your consent choice so we do not show the banner on every page.
Analytics (consent-based)
If you grant consent, we set cookies that record aggregate usage information: which pages you visit, which features you interact with, time spent on the service, and approximate region. These cookies do not record personal content (the text of reviews, your exact ratings, or any private list contents). Analytics cookies are short-lived and the data is used only to improve the product.
Change your preferences
You can change your cookie choice at any time. To update or revoke consent, use the controls in the cookies banner that appears at the bottom of the page on your next visit, or clear your browser's site data for senpai.app to be re-prompted.
Third-party cookies
We do not embed third-party advertising or social-media trackers. We do not share cookie data with advertising networks. Some embedded content (for example, a YouTube trailer inside a news post) may set its own cookies under YouTube's privacy policy when you press play. To avoid those cookies, do not interact with embedded media.
