Magical DoReMi is coming back for one episode. Star Detective Precure! episode 39, airing October 25, is a Halloween crossover with Toei's 1999 magical-girl series, per Anime News Network. The Star Detectives wear witch-apprentice outfits based on the original Ojamajo Doremi designs.
Quick answer
Star Detective Precure! episode 39 (October 25, 2026) is a Halloween crossover with Magical DoReMi (*Ojamajo Doremi*), where the Precure team dresses as DoReMi-style witch apprentices. The pairing fits: Star Detective Precure! premiered February 1, 2026, is set in 1999, the year DoReMi debuted, and follows Anna Akechi, a middle schooler who travels back from 2027. It airs Sundays at 8:30 a.m. JST on ABC/TV Asahi and streams on Crunchyroll across the Americas, Europe, Oceania, Africa, the Middle East and CIS. SenpaiRanks tracks Star Detective Precure! at 6.78 and the original Ojamajo Doremi at 6.87 Consensus.

Why 1999 matters
The crossover makes sense because of the setting. This Precure season deliberately recreates the late '90s, and DoReMi was the biggest magical-girl show on Toei's Sunday morning lineup then. The franchise has stayed popular since: the 20th-anniversary film Looking for Magical DoReMi (2020) won Best Animation Film at the 75th Mainichi Film Awards.
How to read it
Precure keeps finding crossover partners this year. It already did a Detective Conan crossover, and the movie had its own crossover trailers. A one-off Halloween episode is a smaller version of the same idea.
