The second trailer
This is the second look at the new season, and it leans on the remake's cleaner art and animation. Watch it here:
Who's making it
MAPPA produces, Kōnosuke Uda directs, and the chief animation direction is split across Yoshiko Saitō, Kōsuke Kawamura, Riko Kaneda, and Haruki Miura. The remake has kept the original's slapstick rhythm while modernizing the linework — a big reason it's landed with both nostalgic and first-time viewers.
Netflix and the calendar
The release pattern is unchanged: NTV broadcast in Japan first, then a worldwide Netflix exclusive. That makes the "where to watch Ranma 1/2" answer simple — Netflix, no platform-hopping. If you're mapping out the back end of the year, our what to watch this season hub and the Crunchyroll summer 2026 schedule cover what's airing now, and Black Clover's returning season is another fall heavyweight to track.
The ranking read
Per SenpaiRanks's board, the 2024 Ranma 1/2 remake sits at a 7.21 adjusted — a strong revival that holds up beyond pure nostalgia, which is exactly the split the Consensus and Quality axes are built to show.
