The TV anime adaptation of Jura's manga My Girlfriend's Friend (*Kanojo no Tomodachi*) will premiere in October 2026, the production revealed alongside a teaser video and a fuller staff list. Studio Quad is producing, with Takashi Andō directing.
The setup
The manga launched on Kodansha's YanMaga Web in May 2021. The premise is a tense love-triangle drama: high schooler Takeru is already dating Kaori when her friend Tomoko starts trying to seduce him — a temptation story that leans on discomfort rather than easy romance.

Andō directs at Quad, with Ryūji Iwata on character designs and chief animation direction alongside Akira Koshiishi and Konatsu Kumagai. Gōkō Shiraki handles series composition.
