Miki Yoshikawa's vampire family comedy is getting an anime. An official site opened on October 31 announcing a TV anime of Hiragi-san's House of Vampires (*Hiiragi-san Chi no Kyūketsu Jijō*), with planning and production by UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS. The announcement came with a teaser visual. No premiere date, cast or staff beyond the studio has been named yet. Per ANN and MyAnimeList, both citing Comic Natalie.
The setup
Shota Minamoto is a junior-high orphan living in a children's home. A warm, wealthy family adopts him into their huge Japanese-style estate. He starts to relax, until he learns the family's secret: they're vampires. Kodansha's English listing calls it "a cozy, bloody love comedy," which is about right. It's a found-family story with fangs.
Who's behind it
Yoshikawa is a veteran rom-com author. She drew Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches and A Couple of Cuckoos, which became a two-season anime (our board has A Couple of Cuckoos at 6.90). Hiragi-san started as a one-shot in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in September 2019 and became a series in Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in October 2021. Kodansha released volume 6 in November 2025. English readers can follow it on Kodansha's K MANGA app, which has simulpublished it since May 2024.
UNLIMITED PRODUCE is TMS Entertainment's in-house planning-and-production label. TMS is the studio behind Detective Conan and Dr. Stone. It has a deep bench, but it hasn't said which internal team is on this one.
What to watch for
The next drop is usually a PV with the main cast, then a broadcast window. Our guess is 2027 at the earliest, since nothing has been dated. While you wait, our new best vampire anime ranking covers the genre from Hellsing Ultimate to Call of the Night. Our winter 2027 watch guide covers the next season.
