Charisma, the character-music project from Evil Line Records, has a TV date. A teaser video released on November 1 confirmed the anime premieres January 7, 2027 on TBS and 27 affiliate stations, Thursdays at 11:56 p.m. Before that, a short anime starts November 4 inside TBS's Yoru no Brunch program, Wednesdays at 11:56 p.m.
Quick answer
Charisma is a TV anime from Pierrot Films, directed by Jōji Furuta with character designs by Haru Watanabe. It airs from January 7, 2027 on TBS, with a short-anime lead-in from November 4, 2026. The project comes from Evil Line Records and Dazed, the label behind Hypnosis Mic, and original creator Shū Matsubara oversees the scripts. Overseas streaming hasn't been announced. SenpaiRanks lists it as an upcoming title, so there's no ranking score yet.
The setup
Charisma's characters each embody a type of "charisma," and the anime puts them under one roof in a shared house while they chase bigger goals. The franchise already has music releases, stage musicals, live concerts and manga, so the anime is the last format to arrive, not the first. If you know Hypnosis Mic, that's the right reference: song-first character IP, then an anime to widen the audience.
Cast and music
The voice cast returns from the music project: Yūki Ono, Masahiro Yamanaka, Katsumi Fukuhara, Kenta Hosoda, Saku Hyūga, Genki Okawa and Tomohisa Hashizume, joined by newcomers Shinnosuke Tachibana and Tomohiro Ōno. Gesshoku Kaigi handles the music, TBS Television produces.
Worth a slot?
For existing fans, obviously. For everyone else it depends on whether you liked Hypnosis Mic's anime, which was stronger on music than story. Pierrot Films is also behind the Bleach: Mirrors High launch animation. Charisma shares its January 7 premiere with Are You a Landmine, Chihara-san?, and the winter 2027 watch guide has the rest of the season. Follow the show on its anime page.
