The staff behind That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime confirmed on September 25 that Season 4 comes back for its third cour in July 2027, and that Wataru Kajika's Clayman's Revenge spinoff manga is getting its own TV anime in April 2027. Per Anime News Network, Takehito Koyasu returns to voice Clayman.
Quick answer
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 Part 3 premieres in July 2027, animated again by 8-Bit with Miho Okasaki as Rimuru. Season 4 is planned as a five-cour run; the first two cours aired back-to-back from April 3, 2026 on NTV's Friday Anime Night block, and Crunchyroll streams it as it airs. The Clayman's Revenge spinoff TV anime debuts April 2027, directed by Kentarō Sugimoto at 8-Bit. According to SenpaiRanks, Season 4 currently holds an adjusted score of 7.69 on the Slime Season 4 ranking page.
The calendar slot
So the shape of the year is: Season 4 parts 1 and 2 wrap their continuous run this September, the Clayman spinoff fills the spring 2027 window, and Rimuru's main story resumes in summer 2027. That's a franchise that basically never leaves the schedule — two Slime TV projects inside one calendar year, plus the second film, Tears of the Azure Sea, which landed in 2026.

The Clayman angle
Clayman was the Demon Lord who got flattened at Walpurgis in Season 2 — about as dead as a Slime villain gets. Kajika's manga (running since April 2022, nine volumes as of August 2026) gives the Marionette Master "one more act," in the words of Kodansha's K MANGA blurb. It's a Fuse-supervised spinoff, and the trailer is already up:
Who's making it
- Director: Kentarō Sugimoto (episode director on Blue Lock, Laid-Back Camp S3)
- Series scripts: Yūji Haibara, who did graphic design on earlier Slime entries
- Character design: Asumi Hashimoto and Hideki Sakai (the franchise's long-time chief animation director)
- Studio: 8-Bit, same as the main series
Keeping the spinoff in-house at 8-Bit with Sakai on designs is the important detail: it should look like Slime, not a budget side project.
The read
Slime's fanbase has been patient with a slow-burn Season 4 built on political arcs, and the 7.69 SenpaiRanks score says the reception is solid rather than spectacular. A villain-POV spinoff is a smart hedge — it gives the franchise something different to air while the main story banks episodes for July.
