Crunchyroll's standalone manga app is no longer North America-only. As of October 8, 2026, Crunchyroll Manga is live on iOS and Android in the United Kingdom, Ireland, India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand, per Anime News Network. Crunchyroll also says the streaming service will be "easily accessible" in a new dedicated anime hub on PS5 launching next spring. The other platform change is the opposite way: the main Crunchyroll app leaves Nintendo Switch on October 30.
Quick answer
Crunchyroll Manga is an ad-free reading app that's separate from the main Crunchyroll streaming subscription. It launched in the U.S. and Canada in October 2025 and expanded on October 8, 2026 to the U.K., Ireland, five South Asian markets plus the Maldives and Bhutan, Australia and New Zealand. On the anime side, Crunchyroll stays on Xbox, PlayStation, mobile, smart TVs and browsers, but drops Nintendo Switch on October 30, 2026. Free ad-supported streaming ended on December 31, 2025, and U.S. tiers went up in price in February 2026. SenpaiRanks tracks Crunchyroll's flagship Solo Leveling at 7.38.
What changes for you
- U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand: you can now read on the same platform you watch on, though it's a separate app with its own subscription.
- India and South Asia: this is Crunchyroll's first official manga storefront in markets where it has spent the last few years growing its anime audience.
- Switch owners: move to another device before October 30. Your account and watch history stay with your profile, not the console.
- PS5: nothing changes yet. The anime hub launches in spring 2027.
How to read it
Crunchyroll keeps building one ecosystem around anime fans: streaming, a manga app, games and merch. A wider manga rollout lets readers follow a story after its anime season ends, which is exactly when most fans go looking for the source material. For you, it means one more legitimate place to read. It doesn't replace a ranking, though, and that's where we come in. Before you commit to a 100-chapter catch-up, check how the anime landed with viewers on SenpaiRanks, our MyAnimeList alternative.
