Ace of Diamond Act II Second Season's second cours premieres October 11, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. JST on TV Tokyo and affiliates, and at 9:00 p.m. JST on AT-X, streaming on Netflix in Japan right after broadcast. GLAY performs the opening "NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN" and OxT the ending "ROAD TO BE BLUE." The season is directed by Hideaki Ōba at OLM, and SenpaiRanks currently tracks it at 7.04 adjusted with the board still filling in.
The team behind this cours
The production changed hands for this season. Hideaki Ōba (*Kunon the Sorcerer Can See*, I'm in Love with the Villainess, Love of Kill) directs, replacing Mitsuyuki Masuhara, and OLM has the series — Madhouse animated Ace of Diamond Act II.
Kenji Konuta stays on series composition, which he has done for all three previous anime in the franchise. Yasukazu Shōji, previously chief animation director on Major 2nd, takes over character design from Minoru Ueda and Satoshi Tasaki. Hajime Hyakkoku returns from Act II on music.
Daisuke Sakuma joins as Shinichiro Saotome of Inashiro High School; the rest of the main cast carries over from the first cours, which premiered April 5.
Where the franchise stands
Yūji Terajima launched the original Ace of Diamond manga in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2006 and ended it in January 2015 at 47 volumes. Act II ran from August 2015 to October 2022 across 34 volumes. Mad Cave Studios' Nakama Press imprint is publishing the sequel in English as Ace of the Diamond in 3-in-1 omnibus volumes.
On the SenpaiRanks board, the 2013 Diamond no Ace holds 7.71 adjusted and Diamond no Ace: Second Season 7.87 — the franchise peak. This season's 7.04 is the youngest entry with the thinnest vote base, so it is the one most likely to move once the second cours airs.
